Pulsation as Ontological Modality: A Relational Interpretation of Field Dynamics

Within relational monism, pulsation constitutes the fundamental dynamic of the field. The field does not alternate between presence and absence; it oscillates between varying degrees of relational intensity. This pulsation is not a mechanical rhythm but an ontological modality through which the field articulates itself.

The binary schema 0/1, when applied to pulsation, becomes misleading. It suggests a discontinuous alternation between two discrete states. Relational monism, by contrast, posits a continuous spectrum of relational amplitudes. The so‑called “zero” state is merely the lowest point on this spectrum, not a negation of the field.

Pulsation therefore serves as the mechanism through which relational density varies. High‑density states correspond to intensified relational condensation, while low‑density states correspond to attenuated relational presence. The field remains ontologically unified throughout these variations.

This interpretation has several consequences. It eliminates the possibility of ontological discontinuity. It reframes emergence as a modulation of relational intensity rather than the appearance of new substances. And it situates the dynamics of the field within a non‑dualistic metaphysical framework.

Pulsation thus becomes the primary mode of ontological expression. It is the means by which the field differentiates itself without fragmenting its unity. The study of pulsation becomes, in effect, the study of ontology itself.
